The boldest of the bunch and a true one-off. Built entirely from reclaimed vintage kantha quilts, this jacket throws the rulebook out: an electric cobalt-blue body up front, sleeves spliced from clashing-in-the-best-way patchwork — gingham checks, mustard-gold block print, plum, coral, and teal — and a back that flips to a warm, mottled gold-and-bronze panel laced with hot-pink contrast stitching. Every panel tells a different story, and somehow they all belong together.
The whole piece is worked in the signature kantha running stitch, with rows of tiny hand-sewn lines in punchy contrasting threads rippling across the cloth for texture, weight, and that lovely quilted hand-feel. Faded patches, frayed edges, and visible mends are all part of the charm — this is fabric with a past, stitched into something new.
Cut boxy and slightly cropped for a relaxed, modern silhouette, it sits easy over a tee or knit and makes a statement on its own. Finished with a full-length metal zip, a relaxed camp collar, and two chest flap pockets with natural coconut-shell buttons.
