A one-of-a-kind piece that wears like a piece of art. Hand-built from a reclaimed vintage kantha quilt, this jacket has a beautifully painterly quality — the front a soft, muted wash of dusty pink, sage, lilac, and pale blue, anchored by a deep aubergine placket down the centre, while the back opens up into bolder blocks of blue, red, gold, and teal. Everywhere you look there's a different texture, thanks to multi-coloured kantha stitching that flickers across the cloth in tiny dashes of pink, green, blue, and red.
Lovely block-printed details lift the whole thing: floral-printed pocket flaps in red and blue, a green block-print panel near the shoulder, and a navy ditsy-floral patch running down one sleeve. It's all held together with the signature kantha running stitch — fine rows of hand-sewn lines that quilt the layers into one soft, richly textured cloth. Gentle fading, frayed edges, and small natural imperfections come built-in, the marks of a textile that has already lived one full life and been reborn into another.
Cut boxy and relaxed for an easy, modern fit, it layers beautifully over a tee or knit and makes a quiet statement all on its own. Finished with a full-length YKK metal zip, a relaxed camp collar, and two block-print chest flap pockets fastened with natural coconut-shell buttons.
