This one runs warm and soft: candy pink, lilac and dusky purple stripes set against panels of golden sari brocade, the gold motifs woven into the cloth and catching the light against the pinks. Vertical stripe-work runs the length of the body, broken up by those richer gold-and-burgundy bands, with the whole surface worked over in fine kantha running stitch. Faded patches and the odd worn mark sit where the original cloth has lived — part of the story, not a flaw. It's a genuinely pretty, characterful jacket; warm-toned and easy to wear.
Cut with a relaxed body, full-length zip front and a neat collar. The quilted kantha body gives it proper substance — a true three-season layer with character built in.
