One of one, and arguably the boldest piece in the collection. Cut from vintage kantha — layers of reclaimed cotton hand-stitched with the dense running stitch that gives the cloth its rippled, lived-in depth. No two pairs could ever come close to the same.
Where the others lean tonal, this pair is pure patchwork: dozens of reclaimed cotton offcuts — electric blue, hot pink, ochre, cream, black, teal and soft pastels — pieced together block by block into a riot of colour and pattern. Tiger-stripe, tie-dye, ditsy floral and plain panels all sit side by side, every one worked over with the dense kantha running stitch that ties the whole thing together. The result reads like a wearable quilt or a piece of abstract art; genuinely a statement trouser.
Cut as an easy, straight-leg trouser with a coconut-shell button at the front, a comfortable elasticated waistband, belt loops and side pockets. A rear patch pocket is finished with the Sequent label. The quilted kantha body gives them proper substance — a true three-season trouser with character built in.
