One of one. Cut from a single panel of vintage kantha — layers of reclaimed cotton sari hand-stitched together with the dense running stitch that gives the cloth its rippled, lived-in depth. No two pairs will ever be the same.
The ground is a deep pine green, scattered all over with a small ochre butti motif — the little paisley-droplet print woven through generations of Indian textiles — and softened by years of honest wear. One lower leg carries a bloom of faded turquoise where the original cloth has worn through to another life beneath; far from a flaw, it's the kind of patina you simply can't fake.
Cut as an easy, straight-leg trouser with a button front, a comfortable elasticated back waistband and a rear patch pocket finished with the Sequent label. The quilted kantha body gives them real substance — a proper three-season trouser with weight and character.
